Why a biweekly time card needs two separate workweeks
A biweekly pay period contains 14 days, but the calculation should still keep Week 1 and Week 2 visible as separate blocks. That prevents a heavy week from being hidden by a lighter second week.
The overtime threshold in this calculator is applied independently to each seven-day group. It is not one 80-hour threshold.
How daily hours are calculated
If clock-out is earlier than clock-in, the calculator reads the shift as crossing midnight. Leave a row blank for a day you did not work.
Estimated pay
When an hourly rate is entered, regular hours use the base rate and overtime hours use the multiplier you selected. The result is a gross estimate only and does not include taxes, deductions, bonuses, or employer-specific payroll rules.
