How the weekly time card works
Each day starts with the elapsed time between clock-in and clock-out. Unpaid break time is then deducted to produce the daily net total.
The seven daily totals are added to produce the weekly time card total.
Two break-entry methods
Break minutes is quickest when you know the duration. Break start/end is useful when you have actual punch times for lunch.
Overnight punches
If a clock-out time is earlier than clock-in, the calculator treats the shift as crossing midnight.
Weekly overtime and pay
The weekly threshold is customizable. Hours above it are labeled overtime and, when a rate is entered, use the multiplier you choose. Payroll rules can vary, so the calculator does not assume that one threshold is universally correct.
